This has a built in Blu-ray disc. Sounds nice and looks nice the picture is nice, but the menu does not respond to commands in any regular manner. I could initially select an option after multiple tries, but now I can't even do that. The batteries are fresh - even switched them out from the ones that came in the box (Panasonic batteries). After the trouble of much research about the right HDTV to buy I can't believe I settled on such a lemon. Even when I operate the Blu-ray without the remote it gives me error messages on the screen - Cannot Operate. This is a very helpful message! I only bought the set with the Blu-ray because it was the only set in Costco that seemed to have a decent picture. I will be returning this for good tomorrow. Bye bye Sharp. According to Sharp they never put the 52" model into production so I don't know how sellers can advertise it. The 46" model has been discontinued and I suspect that the whole series has been discontinued now. <br /> <br />The next biggest that i've found is the Westinghouse 40" LCD/DVD combo.
