I bought this player to replace an LG Bluray player that is starting to give me problems. The Samsung has even worse problems out of the box than the LG ever did. It has problems navigating some DVDs, freezing when I fast forward or skip tracks. I have to power cycle the player to get control back. Netflix streaming is intermittent despite always being good on the LG player and on my computer. Netflix streaming is noticeably slower to buffer than the LG player. Overall a big disappointment. I’m going to see if I can return it and give the comparable Sony a shot.

My whole purpose of buying the PD3600 was for Blu-ray and the streaming video. You can get the Blu-ray for a lot cheaper other places.

The Wi-Fi is worthless. Tried two units. Even plugged the wire in and did a firmware update. No luck.

If I can set up my PS3, Wii, and multiple laptops to use a basic 802.11g/WPA2PSK connection, this should work.

Even the interface is slow, takes 5 min. to put in the WPA2 key.

I should have known by the earlier reviews and the fact no specs are available for the wireless LAN adapter.

Go back to the drawing board on this one Samsung.

It is this simple- This is a great product. I even use it connected to a Netbridge (even though Samsung does not "officially" support this set-up).

My only complaint, Samsungs usual stellar customer support really lacks on this product. Don't even think about calling to ask any set-up questions. Luckily, I was able to figure the netbridge set up. Actually, I was making it harder than it was, just configure your netbridge (use a HD bridge) and plug in. I am not a fan of the dongle, as I have much better streaming with the bridge.

The box and the unit say “Wireless LAN,” not “Wireless Capable.” No. Once you’re sitting in front of the unit wondering why it’s not finding a network you look in the manual and it says you need an adapter. So there is no Wireless LAN. There’s a product you can buy for $75 bucks. Wanted to be happy with the $1,800 we sunk into Samsung TV and player. Charge me the extra $75. Just don’t mislead me.

I purchased a Samsung blu ray dvd player but am very disappointed with the quality of the product and the service i recd from them. never will i buy a samsung dvd player again!!
