Philips say that their new players will be “pushing the boundaries in picture qualitiy and sound experience”. As many of my readers are aware, I’m only slightly biased to the Sony BDP series in combination with the BRAVIA, but Philips do have an uncanny ability to produce exceptional quality digital media products.

For sure – the PS3 is THE Greatest value Blu Ray player on the market today. Period.
It’s picture and sound quality is perfect I have a 60 inch Toshiba hi-def TV and  no sound/picture quality is better than what I view at my home every day.

My friends paid nearly twice for smaller sets and more money for a standalone blu-ray disk player and they are kicking themselves ’cause they haven’t listen. Every one say “why do I need to a gaming system with my blu ray?” How can you be so short sighted – because it has all of the features that blu ray offers TODAY.

The Open/Close button is located on the left at the top corner and will open up the dark blue front panel revealing the disc tray. The power button is found on the opposite side near the top corner. LG BD390 Blu-ray Player Review

When the LG debuted the BD390 last year it was still only one of a handful of Blu-ray Players to incorporate Online Streaming Media Services. Denon DBP-1611UD Blu-ray Player Review

Denon has unveiled two new Blu-ray Players to be released by June of 2010, the DBP-1611UD and the DBP-2011UDCI. What is surprising is that both will be Full HD 3D compatible. This is surprising since Denon is usually slow of the mark when it comes to new technology. Not wanting to sacrifice quality in any way. But getting on board with the 3D trend seem like a safe gamble and like past Blu-ray Players, both will be universal players.

Another change Denon is taking is a reduction in price. Denon’s universal players have always been on a different price level than that of its competitors. With the DBP-1611UD, the price is listed at $399. While still higher than most entry level Blu-ray Players, but it is the lowest price for a Denon player.
