My Denon 2910 player had an untimely and rather painful death. The guy at the audio shop said they were getting some of the Cambridge Universal players in and it would do every format including SACD and Blu-ray. “Sure”, said I, “I’ll give it a rip” and I’m very glad I did. This player does everything well and it does it quickly to boot.
The upconversion from standard DVDs to 1080p is the best I’ve seen. I will not be replacing my DVDs with Blu-ray disks – why would I when they look this good? It does a phenomenal job with Blu-rays and my Super Audio disks sound cleaner and clearer than they ever had before.
This unit was a few bucks more than the competition but in this case I truly got what I paid for and a bit more.
